The various levels of membership and the schedule of annual dues are established by the member companies of IPOA. There are three levels of membership in IPOA that are designed to cater to the many different companies within this diverse industry.

The Membership Year lasts for twelve months from the acceptance date (or the anniversary of the acceptance date) for a company.

	General Membership Annual Dues: US $ 8,000 Restrictions: None All General Members are eligible to serve on the IPOA Board of Directors, which is elected annually from among the Membership. All General Members are allowed to participate in IPOA Committees. All General Members are permitted to vote (after the mandatory probationary period of six months) in IPOA Committees. General Members are allowed to attend IPOA Member-Only events.
	General Membership for Small Businesses Annual Dues: US $ 5,000 Restrictions: Companies may only have this classification if their annual revenues are below US $ 3 million per year. All General Members (Small Business) enjoy the same benefits as General Members.
	Associate Membership for Product Companies Annual Dues: US $ 2,000 Restrictions: Companies may only have this classification if their line of business includes the provision or production of goods, but does not include the provision of services. Associate Members are allowed to participate in IPOA Committees, however are not permitted to vote. Associate Members are allowed to attend IPOA Member-Only events.
